Cross roller Slewing Ring Bearing

Cross roller Slewing Ring Bearing consist of an outer ring, an inner ring, and a plurality of rollers and spacers. The roller lies between the inner and outer ring with the spacers placed between the rollers to prevent the mutual friction between them thereby decreasing the torque resistance for rotation. There are six types of Hiwin Crossed Roller Bearings comprising of, the split outer ring type (CRBA), the split inner ring type (CRBB), the high rigidity type (CRBC), the split outer ring with mounting holes (CRBD), the high rigidity with mounting holes (CRBE) and the customized type(CRBX). 

Cross roller Slewing Ring Bearing is a roller bearing with high rotation accuracy capable of bearing loads in every direction. Because it has orthogonally arranged cylindrical rollers, it can bear loads in every direction.

With the Cross-Roller Ring, cylindrical rollers are arranged crosswise, with each roller perpendicular to the adjacent roller, in a 90゜V groove, separated from each other by a spacer retainer. This design allows just single bearing to receive loads in all directions including, radial, axial and moment loads. Since the Cross-Roller Ring achieves high rigidity despite the minimum possible dimensions of the inner and outer rings, it is optimal for applications such as joints and swiveling units of industrial robots, swiveling tables of machining centers, rotary units of manipulators, precision rotary tables, medical equipment, measuring instruments and IC manufacturing machines.
